06/02 UPDATE: 1 dead as cartoon anger spreads
Lebanon apologized to Denmark Monday after thousands of rampaging Muslim demonstrators set fire to its diplomatic mission in Beirut, and hundreds of Afghans clashed with police and soldiers there in the most violent of worldwide protests by Muslims over caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad. ------------ In this case we feel there definitely shouldn't be any negotiation with terrorists. Gentlemen grow a sense of humor, or is Muhammad lacking a funny bone in the first place? A little wacky tabacky and nitrous oxide might just be what's in order to quell the savage beast in the Middle East. cartoonstock.com Masked gunmen today briefly took over a European Union office to protest at a Danish newspaper's publication of cartoons deemed insulting to Islam’s Prophet Muhammad, the latest in a wave of violent denunciations of the caricatures across the Islamic world.
The gunmen demanded an apology from Denmark and Norway, and said citizens of the two countries would be prevented from entering the Gaza Strip. “We are calling on the citizens of the two countries to take this threat seriously because our cells are ready to implement this all over Gaza,” said one of the militants.
