Biographie
The invasion began back in April 2006 and in hindsight now, the KILLERPILZE (“KILLER MUSHROOMS”) have been extremely successful with their invasion of the musical landscape. With their debut single “RICHTIG SCHEISSE (AUF’NE SCHÖNE ART UND WEISE)” [“REALLY SHITE (IN A WAY THAT’S ALRIGHT)”], the KILLERPILZE infiltrated the Top 20 of the Media Control Charts and continued this success with their self-written and self-composed debut album “INVASION DER KILLERPILZE” ("INVASION OF THE KILLER MUSHROOMS"): Charting at number 7 on the Album charts and with yet another successful single in “SPRINGT HOCH” (“JUMP UP”), these boys are no longer an industry secret! The KILLERPILZE are now presenting “ICH KANN AUCH OHNE DICH” ("I CAN LIVE WITHOUT YOU”) (release date: 6 October 2006) another track from their debut album and have set their schedule for the upcoming weeks and months: Now, all their fans across the nation can get keyed up for some more energetic live shows throughout October – now in even larger venues – the motto being “Larger, Higher, Faster, Louder and More Electrifying!” Yeah, no doubt about it … the invasion continues. These boys have punk rock in their blood. At just between 13 and 18 years of age, the fresh rock sound of the KILLERPILZE is impressing fans, critics and colleagues alike. The KILLERPILZE will provide the ultimate proof of their impact on their sold-out headliner tour as well as at more than 30 festival performances across the country. An invasion that is inducing an ecstatic response from their fans and that has made their Web site www.killerpilze.de one of the most successful German band pages on the Internet. They have infiltrated all of the media … in addition to numerous cover stories (Bravo, Yam, Popcorn, TOTP and more), celebrated appearances by the KILLERPILZE on TV Total, The Dome and many other shows have intensified the feverous rapture surrounding the four boys. The KILLERPILZE – that is, brothers Jo and Fabi together with their schoolmates Mäx and Schlagi – have been together for three years already and have been electrifying audiences with their live power. In October, the first live DVD “INVASION DER KILLERPILZE – LIVE” will appear and contains a live concert from Graz, Austria together with much bonus material, “Behind the Scenes” footage and a video collection. The sound of the band is not about “sounding older than we really are“. Instead, KILLERPILZE sing about their topics, their stories and their impressions of the world. They are fully aware how important this is: “The here and now is what’s important for us. Of course, we want to continue to develop as a band but the songs we are playing now are about us.
