Olsi u Tabora, Czech republic
The line-up of this year‘s Mighty Sounds festival is getting almost complete and so as the last time, everyone can be looking forward to more than 150 performers from various underground genres including ska, reggae, punk, hardcore, rock’n‘roll indie rock etc. which will come to Olsi u Tabora from more than 15 countries from all around the world.
This 3 days-long party will take place from 13th until 15th July once again in the beautiful locality of Tabor region on the south of Czech Republic.
Two live stages, two DJ’s stages and the theater tent will provide more than enough opportunities to enjoy yourself listening to the large scale of music.
The biggest star of the festival is definately going to be the legendary ska and rocksteady pioneer Derrick Morgan, who’s festival performance might be one of the last chances to see this oldschool jamaican artist live in concert.
No need to introduce the New York city finest ska revival band the Slackers or German ragga king Dr. Ring Ding who is going to be backed by his fellow countrymen Soulfood International. Ska-latino killers Skalariak are going to come all the way from Basque country while Argentinian time bomb Karamelo Santo are going to show you why they are called one of the freakiest ska bands in the world.
Two tone will be represented by English vets the Big and French newcoming stars Two Tone Club.
Ska punk lovers should be looking forward to Italian locomotive Persiana Jones and another part of the British invasion including Fandangle, Howard Alias and horny punkers Jesse James who’s Mighty Sounds performance will be actually their last show ever.
German horror psychos Mad Sin, Swiss legendary trio the Peacocks, the great up-and-comers Hot Rocket Trio from London and the Creetins from Germany will bring on the rock’n’roll fever.
Austrian Rentokill and German Nineteen Reasons are going to be just a little part of the punk and hardcore enclave which will perform on the festival.
There’s no doubt that most of the Czech top ska, reggae, rock’n’roll punk or hardcore bands won’t be missing such a unique event that Mighty Sounds definately is. Polemic, Tleskac, Sto Zvirat, Fast Food Orchestra, United Flava, Gangnails, Flaming Cocks, N.V,Ú., Totalni, Nasazeni, the Chancers or Volant are some of the local bands that are going to play the festival.
Apart from plays, the theater tent is going to offer some chill out acoustic performers and workshops.
The Radio 1 DJ scene is going to get you tons of reggae, ragga, jungle, drum’n’bass, breakbeat but also punk, rock’n’roll or ska while the infamous Sado Maso stage is going to vary from death metal to hardcore techno.
Chill-out zone, fireshow or football tournament are just a few among many of non-musical events..
