This years Mystic Skate Cup is the 14th annual World Skateboarding Cup in the Czech capital.

Since Friday the 13th until Sunday the 15th, the world´s best competitors will compete for 40 thousand dollars in three main disciplines – street, vert and best trick. A bowl (so called swimming pool) will be an interesting addition to the program as well. This course has been designed by the well known names of skateboarding – Dave Duncan and Brian Patch.

Thanks to the support of Pavel Bém, the Prague´s city mayor, the pool has its own roof and therefore there need to be no worries about the weather for instance while the main street style discipline is under way.

Because of their major interest, even girls will get the chance to compete in the street style discipline as well as in the vertical ramp exhibition; 1.500 dollars will be divided between the first three competitors.

Such as each year, competitors satisfaction is our main priority, because if they are happy, the spectators will most definitely be happy as well. We always build a brand new park for the world skate cup according to the last trends so the competitors are inspired to special efforts, which set forward the limits of skateboarding.

We always try to guarantee the worlds best riders for the Mystic Skate Cup each year. This year will be no different. Almost 200 professionals from more than 25 countries in the world. American, Australian, and European top riders will be registered for the competition. Czech Republic will be represented by riders, who have successfully qualified into the competition through the Czech skateboarding cup.

Mystic Skate Cup takes place in Mystic skate park on the Štvanice island and it is the only contest of the WCS series which takes place underneath the open skies.

Because MCS is an open contest, pre-qualification for European riders only takes place on Friday. Only the best ones advance to the Saturdays qualification.

The Czech Republic will be represented by 20 best riders registered on the basis of ongoing results from the Czech skateboarding cup. For most of them it will be a grand opportunity to face the best riders of the planet for the first time in their lives.

The contest is directed by the WCS agency and the points gained in the contest will be counted into the overall world cup rankings.

As usual, there will be a rich accompanying program on the MCS such as live concerts, DJs, Subculture exhibit, graffiti wall, video projections of skateboarding movies and various workshops - skate design for example. As of today, we can mention following artists: punk bands from USA Bad Shit, Nihilist, The Egg (UK), local Sunshine, PSH, Matěj Ruppert ? guests, Chilakillerz (mex), DJ Mucho, DJ Robot, Liquid A, prague´s urban hip hop DJs at T-music zone and more. Catering will be provided by Perfect Catering.

One of the most important parts of the MSC are the spectators and fans, local or from all around the world, who thanks to their perfect knowledge of skateboarding create an unusual atmosphere each year.
