ImageThe Shockproof Film Festival (Festival Otrlého Diváka) is returning to Kino Aero from 19 – 24 February. Presenting films which exploit sensitive issues, the festival describes itself as “a festival of films surpassing the borders of 'good taste'” and a “(non) aesthetic film experience.” The dual themes of this year's festival are: bad taste cinema and pornography.

Features of the program include Sylvester Stallone's new Rambo film (directed and co-written by the Italian stallion himself), “Porno Day” including the notorious 70s porno Deep Throat and a few Pink Films (a style of Japanese soft-core porn), Dementia 13,a gothic horror film from a young Francis Ford Coppola, a film by the “King of the Bs” Roger Corman, some Czech films, including Přednáška, directed by Vladimíra Hendrich, and Po Kunde Ti Upadne Pero, a video art project created by Marek Ther, which has been described as a combination of manifesto and poem that crosses the spectrum of allusions, associations and emotions.

The final day of the festival will feature three films from “the worst film director of all time,” Edward D. Wood Jr. Come early for the Ed Wood Would Costume Party, hosted by Provokátor. Dress as a character from any Ed Wood movie (or even dressed as Wood himself) and get FREE, yes FREE entry into both the party and the three films! A costume contest will be held prior to the screening of Plan 9 From Outer Space, which begins at 9pm. As always, lewd behavior is encouraged and chaos will most likely ensue.
