For the May 19, 2005 premiere of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, fans (Star Warriors) lined up for 7 weeks outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Serious Star Wars Fanatics:

In 2002, two Star Warriors started camping outside a Seattle cinema for Episode II - Attack of the Clones 4 months before its release.

Self- Pleasuring Fanatics:

A Czech student came in second in Britain's first "marathon masturbation event" last August, in which hundreds of sexual exhibitionists competed in who could masturbate the longest time - with the most orgasms.  Marcel Rimel from Ostrava masturbated for 6 1/2 hours straight with 3 orgasms.

According to statistics gathered by the National Abortion Federation, since 1997 in the United States and Canada,  there have been seven murders, 17 attempted murders, 3 kidnappings, 375 death threats, 655 anthrax threats, 41 bombings, 173 arsons, 89 attempted bombings or arsons, 1,374 incidences of trespassing, 1,213 incidences of vandalism, and 100 attacks with butyric acid.

Jim Jones Fanatics:

The drink of choice during rehearsal mass suicides in Jones-town's pseudo-utopian Guyana society was Flavor Aid, not Kool-Aid, the most popular children's sugar drink in the US.

Footwear Fanatics:

Imelda Marcos, wife of Ferdinand Marcos, dictator of the Philippines (from '65 to '86), reportedly owned mor that 3,000 shores.  Imelda rebukes the figures,  "I did not have three-thousand pairs of shoes. I had one-thousand and sixty!" Her fashion collection included a pair of plastic disco sandals with three-inch-high heels that flashed as she danced.
