From Gainesville Florida Against Me! have a tendency towards the “crust punk” ethic and ideal with an audible love for Celtic and country music mixing it up at will with punk and anarcho-political tirades – if The Clash gave birth it would be Against Me popping out of the birth canal.

Against Me! began in 1997, with just a handful of self professed “really bad songs” played on an acoustic guitar recorded onto a four track tape machine.
Against Me!'s intention being that you write songs for the love of writing songs, you play music for the love of playing music, with whatever means you have available, a bucket, a chicken bone, or an orchestra.

They have no problem in being called a punk band. “I´d like to think that even if someone didn't like the music,” Tom Gabel speaks openly, “they could at least appreciate what was being said regardless of age, race, class, sex, sexual preference, or nationality.”
They are the Eternal Cowboys of Cowpunk and are the next best thing to come out of The States besides Botox....(but isn't it funny seeing all the rich and famous inject their faces and go numb?)
