Prague welcomes Apache Indian (Steven Kapur) and the Reggae Revolution Band on his "Time For Change Tour 2006" in support of his 2005 album of the same name. Widely recognized as the trailblazer for Anglo-Asian music's penetration of the UK mainstream, Kapur's music is a vigorous fusion of Bhangra (from Punjab, India) and Bollywood film as well as traditional Reggae and Dancehall.
After cutting his teeth toasting in UK dancehalls, Apache went on to release a string of singles in the early '90s - seven of which became worldwide hits. His past seven albums feature collaborations with such greats as Sly & Robbie, Shaggy, Maxi Priest, Yami Bolo, Pras, Boy George and the legendary Desmond Dekker . If his powerfully upbeat performance at Womad last year is anything to go by, he should be amping up for another outpouring of endless energy at Abaton on Monday, May 15th.
