 The Damned
This year Back to Future is blowing up so big it had to leave it’s little original hamlet of Glaubitz Germany in favor of bigger and better pastures – or island to be exact, Halbinsel Pouch (about 45 minutes from Leipzig, Germany). They had to move probably due to the scheduled 2007 line up. Behind the success of Back to Future has been the painstaking detail to a varied and well rounded array of sub culture bands like, 2007 is no different featuring acts like;The Boys (UK), The Adverts (yes, with T.V. Smith although not all original members) in a salute to ’77 punk, to current horror punk rock The Crimson Ghosts (DE), and Rezurex (US), as well as the legendary if not portly Poison Idea (US)…but hold onto your zipped fetish seat…this years’ fest hosts the ever awesome and stupendous…The Damned (UK).
Provokator has seen Back to Future festival grow bigger and better every year. Each year the organizers have increased the level of production and band roster. Last years fest included Abwärts, Die Lokalmatadore, The Toasters (USA), Dead Kings (D/ DK/ UK), Mad Sin, Evil Conduct (NL), Peter Pan Speedrock (NL), The Queers (USA), and the Peacocks (CH). We have ALWAYS had a great time at this event…not just good. We consider ourselves pilgrims to the Back-to-Future beacon.
