Is that a crucifix in your pocket, or... July 27-29 Bolkow, Poland One day tickets 95 zł (22€); Saturday & Sunday 150 zł (38€) www.castleparty.com
If you've been up night after night reading the more provocative scenes from Bram Stoker's Dracula or maybe even downloading Lust For Dracula from one of the shadier torrent sites available in the back alleys of the information super-highway then this may be the best thing to happen to you since Dark Angel. Seas of seemingly undead succubus will throng to Poland on the 27th of July and I for one am having a hard time caring if I retun alive... or as dead as the discothèque.
Fans of gothic music will again this year be enthralled by the dark delights of the annual castle party. Set in the 16th century Bolkow Castle in Poland, the location has an ancient tradition as a haven for painters, sculptors and artists. From it’s initial inception with five bands in 1994, this year’s line-up sees the party expand to it’s fullest program yet, kick-starting with a warm-up party on the July 26 at the Haljenec Club situated in the town of Bolkow. The festival then commences properly from Friday with performers including Front Line Assembly (ca), IAMX (gb), Angelspit (au), Catastrophe Ballet (de), Cemetery of Scream (pl), C.H. District (pl), Desdemona (pl), Diary of Dreams (de), Diorama (de), Fading Colours (pl), Legendary Pink Dots (nl), Masskotki (pl), Miguel And The Living Dead (pl), Mortiis (no), NFD (gb), Pride and Fall (no), Suicide Commando (be), Tear (cz) and The Royal Dead (jp). |
