Its fiercely independent spirit, lively, enthusiastic promotion, and the sheer range of music exhibition to its discerning fans sets this festival well apart from all others. Numerous acts from the realms of ska, reggae, punk, rocksteady, dancehall, hardcore, rock’n‘roll and indie rock will all be represented across Mighty Sounds’ six stages.

The festival also offers theater for those in need of a cultural injection. Famous old-school reggae artist MC Dennis Alcapone leads a multi-national line-up, which also sees the appearance of ska maniacs The Mad Caddies, perhaps the perfect festival band with their ceaseless energy and a safe stashed full of tunes. Iries Révoltés return with multi-lingual jazz, ska, hip-hop and punk rants always set to entertain. Billed as the biggest ska-punk festival in Europe and cheaper than a hooker’s make-up, it’ll be mighty tricky to avoid the Czech Republic’s southerly green pastures come July.
