By Phil Williams Photos by Beth Jones A good sign of good times is when you can find fields littered with people so dedicated to the party that they never made it to bed. At this year's Mighty Sounds, there were some truly dedicated souls who danced for the whole weekend, thanks to the unceasing music, but right now we're more interested in the party-goers who drove themselves to the ground. This one's for the ditch-dwellers who were having too much fun to worry about where they were falling.
Tents in camps may have shelter and amenities, but there's no greater spot to settle than where the beer flows. This soul found an ideal binbag spot for those awkward mid-slumber hurling moments. Catching up on kip or attempting to crawl under the fence to get backstage? You decide. Note the careful positioning against the conrete fence-stand, ingeniusly supporting an upright leg. Almost as though planned. Finding cover in the shade of the food vans was a clever ploy. Unfortunately the sun moved. This hero takes the prize for flexibility; his spine was delicately curved into the slump of this ditch. The more enterprising of collapsed revellers, with a little searching, found the festival ripe with idyllic spots. ...then what's more beautiful than being amongst people? This is PRAHA! |
