"Modism, Mod living, is an aphorism for clean living under difficult circumstances."
Peter Meaden, mega-Mod manager of the 60's & 70's

Politically charged, power pop, ska, Mod and Motown melodies flow from The Movement with ease. In these days of whiny emo and lackadaisical laments to hear a group that has a definite goal and definitive purpose is a welcome respite. Their politics are not a side note or a stylistic ruse, the politics are at the root of the motivation. Using Motown as much as Mod they eat at the inner ear with messages of tolerance, anti-racism, and socialism administered with the gentlemanly mannerisms of a black three button suited Robin Hood.
“There is a class struggle going on, and our goal is unity between the working class, including the new members of Denmark.” says Lukas noting the poor attitude towards immigrants and foreigners. A sentiment that could most certainly be absorbed by The Czech Republic.
The Movement is a band to take note of and watch out for, in a way that The High Numbers were a heralding of the imminence of The Who.

The trio hailing from Copenhagen are becoming increasingly popular in Western Europe and are pulling into Prague to play Klub 007 September 28th with support from two cult-ish Czech bands VT Marvin and The Spots, and Gobsquad (dk).
