Some Girls came together in 2002 to “punish” people with a loud, fast, high-tempo mix of energetic sound intended to make the crowd sweat, bleed, lose a tooth, and get pissed off by noise. They wanted to create music that breaks the molds of hardcore, and veers from the expected cookie cutter structure of any type of music or typical combination of genres.
It all started when...

singer Wes Eisbold (American Nightmare) and guitarist Rob Moran (ex-Unbroken) came together and decided they were disillusioned by the state of hardcore music and wanted to bust apart the boundaries and create something fresh. They asked drummer Sal Gallegos (Two Miles Till studios) to join them and during the first jam session created the first few songs, which later became part of their 7” release by Deathwish Inc. Records.
Following this release they wanted nothing more than to seize the stage but first a bassist was needed for live performances. Their initial concept was to ask a different bassist to play for every show, but this idea was abandoned once Jason Pearson joined them on stage. Similarly enthusiastic about what Some Girls was doing, he ended up bringing his own creativity to the band as a permanent member.
Within the following months came yet another new addition, guitarist Christopher Sprague (former Brimson Curse and current Tristeza). Together they recorded “The Blues” and headed off on their highly successful East and West coast tours in 2004. After the East coast tour Sprague left the band to continue his projects with Tristeza and was replaced by Chuck Rowell (Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower). With him they returned to the studio to record “The DNA Will Have Its Say”. In 2005 Rob Moran left to pursue other projects and Nathan Joyner joined in the fall.
Upon their arrival in Prague Some Girls will wreak wonderful havoc on satege at Abaton as part of their European Tour. For more information about the band check out their mighty PINK website http://somegirlshaveallthefuck.com/# and come to the show! It will be a fabulous way to kick off spring and release all your cooped up winter energy. Oh, and if you like your teeth, I recommend you wear a mouthpiece!
