2nd Oct:
Necro (usa) @ Lucerna Music Bar 8:00 p.m. Necro is the most brutal rapper on the planet. He has reached legendary status by dropping non stop consistent hardcore albums on his own label, Psycho+Logical-Records. His lyrics are quite offensive, for the most sensitive ones, but he counterpoints it with some very groovy melodies. If you have never heard of Necro you must be living under a rock. Here is your chance to get to know one of the sickest fuck on earth.
People like John Tardy (Obituary), Away (Voivod), and members of Slipknot & Hatebreed, who normally would say "rap is crap", have embraced him. Sure, he may be one of the roughest rappers ever painting pictures of death and gore, but he also represents every kid from the hood who struggles daily and the sick fuck that is down and out, casted aside and forgotten by society.

Berlin Insane (de) @ Volksbuehne, Berlin
Berlin Insane is not only a name that sets trends, but also the biggest indoor-festival of the german underground. Parallel to the festival, each year a compilation is released with the acting artists. The success of Berlin Insane lays in the secret ingredient authenticity, wide-spectrum and strength of expression. Berlin Insane is neither an Electro, nor a Rock- or an Artfestival, but more likely all of them together and much, much more.
3rd Oct Just Went Black (de) @ Klub 007 8:00 p.m.
Just Went Black is a five piece hardcore band, with some reggae influences, from Hamburg. The band has been around since summer 2001. In 2002 they released a 4 song demo tape and on the next year a 5 song vinyl 7 inch, titled "Balancing Reasons in an Unbalanced World". Their first full length record, "Tides", has been released by New Age Records/Assault Records on October 2005. The show at Klub 007 is integrated on a small centre/eastern European tour to promote their brand new 6-song EP, called "Embracing Emptiness". 3rd Oct Primal Scream (uk) @ Roxy 8:00 p.m. “Beautiful Future” is Primal Scream’s ninth studio album and also the very first released through their new record label, B-Unique. Another novelty is the fact that is the first album in the band's extraordinary 26 years history to feature the same marimba and piano that ABBA used on a string of their most memorable hit singles. “Beautiful Future” promises more of that giddy mix of genre-crunching, taking in Philly (Philadelphia) soul, dark electro, accelerated rock'n'roll riffs and pure British pop, but always with that particular Scream’s edge. 3rd & 4th Oct The Young Gods (ch) @ Palac Akropolis 8:00 p.m. “Knock on Wood”, the latest release of The Young Gods, brings back tasteful memories. Eddie Floyd, of the great Stax/Volt label’s artists of the 60’s, reached the top of the charts with a work with the same title, with his raw and charming brand of soul and R&B. Four decades later, The Young Gods’s new album has nothing to do with southern soul music, yet their “Knock on Wood” has soul, and truly stands apart in the group’s exciting and eclectic discography. 6th Oct
dEUS (be) @ Abaton 8:00 p.m. The band was founded in Antwerp in 1989 and their songs are primarily sung in English. dEUS displays a wide range of influences, such as Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Sonic Youth, Flipper, Sun Ra and Charles Mingus jazz, among several others. Consequently, they incorporate a wide variety of styles into their work, including Pop, Folk, Free Jazz, Noise Rock, Electro and the result is a very peculiar and quite interesting melody. They became one of the most successful (and influential) Belgian rock bands ever, mainly due to Tom Barman’s (vocals/guitar/composer) genius/creative madness. Since their beginning, almost 20 years ago, they have presented different line-ups, but always with Tom Barman and Klaas Janszoons (violin/keyboard). Many well-known musicians became famous after collaborating with dEUS, which reinforces the band’s creative capability and quality. Stef-Kamil Carlens (Zita Swoon, Moondog Jr.), Danny Mommens (Vive la Fête) and Tim Vanhamel (Millionaire) are some examples of that.
8th Oct: Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin @ Klub 007 8:00 p.m Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin (SSLYBY) is an American indie pop band from Springfield, Missouri. Their full-length album Broom, independently released in 2005, received good reviews from Spin Magazine and they are now signed with Polyvinyl Record Company. Surprisingly sunny and apolitical considering their nostalgia for the man who pounded Stoli in Gorby's shadow, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin sound like every strummy bunch of white boys from the 1990s who homaged even strummier white boys from the 60s, but damn if their pop chops aren't convincing. The blogger massive has all but boostered them onto the Unsigned Wonder pedestal, and this fuzzily engineered release plays like a loose warm-up, a tribute to their unrusted "roots" (er, acts which also happen to be their contemporaries). Spin Magazine praised SSLYBY in an October issue, and recently, SSLYBY released a split eponymous record with Michael Holt of San Francisco cult band the Mommyheads on Catbird Records. 7th Oct: Port O’Brian , The Pharmacy (usa) @ Klub 007 08:00 p.m Here is what The Gramophone wrote about Port O’Brian: « ...Everything has come into focus for Port O'Brien, and they have retained their heavy swaying beauty even in this light. You know when you watch old TV shows on new "cleaned up" DVD editions, and you can start to see all the flaws really clearly, and you think "man, just put the 'syndicated re-run' filter on this."? Well, that's not happening with Port O'Brien, they clean up wonderfully. They've gone from curiosity to wonder ». Port O’Brian will promote their new album entitled: “All we could do was sing”. Zoom on... Great Czech Humorists Beat Hard
Most of us know what happens to you when wearing brightly colored plaid (you get your ass whooped), but what happens when; you wear plaid and place a banjo, a bog / bažina, and a beat in a blender...?
