The Czech Athletes’ Association are appealing to their fellow sports men and women to join them in protest against human rights violations today.

Local athletes are meeting to discuss treatment of citizens in Burma in the wake of the recent worldwide protests against China’s human rights record that followed the Olympic torch’s journey around the globe.

The protest runs from 14.00-21.00 on Opletalova Street (close to the main train station, Hlavni Nadrazi), Praha 1 today (April 24).

There will be stalls with information on various human rights violations from many organisations including the Prague Burma Center.
