GAZA CITY (AFP) - Israeli artillery batteries bombarded the northern  Gaza Strip after a deadline expired for Palestinians to evacuate a new security zone which is intended to stop rocket attacks.

*Editors note: The Gaza Strip should be turned into an international retirement communtiy reality t.v. show for the politically infirm, and the socially incontinent. Oh wait...it already is.
