Prostor Abaton, Praha   - Metamorphose is a unique event, bringing together different styles of music from various subcultures with the help of top World and Czech musicians, artists, and DJs. The objective of the event is to allow different people to come together enjoying their favorite music styles while being exposed to new music styles and new people.

Metamorphose [Gr.]: "To change into a wholly different form or appearance"

Metamorphose introduces four stages with four representatives from four different areas. The “Let It Roll” stage pumps in the drum'n'bass mood, the “Tribal Vision” stage flows in the psytrance spirit, the “Digital Penetration” stage offers up-to-date breakbeat/dubstep/grime, and the “Kaliyuga” sound stage offers bhanga and asian underground. The first visit from abroad is coming to Let It Roll stage - Canadian DJane and political activist Mz. Revolution. This Toronto native moved to a little more cosmopolitan Ottawa few years ago, where she started to dedicate herself to both music and the antiglobalist and ecological movement.

Her main musical delight is ragga jungle, which is going through a massive boom overseas right now, unseen until the beginning of this millennium. In her sets she combines old school with new school, jungle with drum'n'bass, conscious tracks with jump-up party tunes.
Her broad range of activities consists of promoting, being a member of and Illegal Sound Crew and Mission:Sound, an all-girl collective, hosting her own radio session at CKCU FM and co-organizing Beatz and Pieces graffiti battles. Next to her will perform Mc M# franch arab, who worked in cooperation with Dj Jude and was original member of Alif sound system. He sings in different languages: arabic, french and spanish. His style combines Rub-a-Dub, Raggamufin, and traditional northafrican rythems. Many local drum'n'bass DJ's will represent their local scene as well:

The Tribal Vision collective are presenting their new acquisition - Swedish Tegma duo. They first received recognition in 1998 under Epsilon moniker, producing classic melodic trance. Two years later they took part in a new wave of progressive and minimal psytrance and under their actual name released more than 30 tracks in various compilations. Two albums followed: "Encoded/Decoded" and "Avantgarde". In the next few years they devoted themselves to their own solo projects; Homer n Lazon or O'Chelly. At present the guys are back, this time under the Tribal Vision Records label. With their new album "Around the World in 80 Minutes" they return to the original progressive psytrance sound combined with world music elements. Their Tribal Vision crew colleagues are going to support them on stage as well.

The main attraction of the Digital Penetration stage will be the premiere performance of British Vex'd liveact, one of the most essential projects of Isles' hardbreak/dubstep scene. The sound of this London twosome is characterised by heavyweight basslines, industrial backgrounds and scaterred rhythms, supported by claustrophobic sound effects, ragga vocals, and dancefloor friendly breakbeats. The result is aharsh atmosphere comparable to the hardest edge of drum'n'bass and the most psychedelic edge of dub. They grabbed attention with their very first releases "Pop Pop" and "Lion" on Subtext label which were a pure revelation. Then they got an offer they couldn’t refuse by the renowned Planet Mu label who released their next killer tune "Gunman" and then their wicked album "Vengenace". This confirmed their position in today's British progressive scene. Digital Penetration also introduces the very best of homegrown dub, breakbeat, electro and grime.

The Kaliyuga Sound System stage will introduce a wide spectrum of music known as Asian underground. This musical branch evolved in the first half of the nineties and forms crossover between world music and today's dance electronica, and encompasses traditional Indian, Pakistani and Oriental music. It fuses genres like hip-hop, breakbeat, ragga-dancehall, andgarage. The performance of Kaliyuga DJs will be supported by rhythm section comprising of live percussionists.
