Bonnie and Clyde @ Meet Factory / 19:39
Producer/star Warren Beatty had to convince Warner Bros. to finance this film, which went on to become the studio's second-highest grosser. It also caused major controversy by redefining violence in cinema and casting its criminal protagonists as sympathetic anti-heroes. Based loosely on the true exploits of Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker during the 30s, the film begins as Clyde (Beatty) tries to steal the car of Bonnie Parker (Faye Dunaway)'s mother. Bonnie is excited by Clyde's outlaw demeanour, and he further stimulates her by robbing a store in her presence.

ImageEastern Promises @ Strejlak Open Air Cinema / 20:30

Viggo Mortensen, Naomi Watts, Armin Mueller-Stahl, and Vincent Cassel star in this David Cronenberg's thriller concerning a London midwife who unwittingly stumbles into a clandestine Russian sex trafficking ring. An unidentified Russian teen has been rushed to a London hospital after going into labour. Though midwife Anna Khitrova (Watts) does manage to deliver a healthy baby girl, the newborn's mother dies tragically during delivery. But the deceased mother's secrets did not die with her, because she has left behind a diary...

Burma event @ Prague
In cooperation with the organisation People in Need, we are going to remember the over 1900 political prisoners in Burma by putting candles with prisoners' names at the memorial of the Velvet Revolution in Prague. We warmly invite you to join us there, and if you haven't adopted a Burmese prisoner of conscience yet, there's still time to do so at www.burma-center.org/8888

Iron Maiden @ Slavia Football Stadium / 20h00
They made loads of money selling t-shirts uglier than their records. You obviously can't take Eddie and it's band seriously after 12, and it's embarrassing to confess you like Number Of The Beast if you're under 40. Many people think Iron Maiden changed the course of music, but most of them mean it in a Van Halen kind of way. By today's standards, after Marylin Manson and Nu-Metal, it's hard to understand what was so "evil" in a couple of cocaine driven solos and why they thought Fear Of The Dark was worth burning crosses or building huge 666 neon signs.
Iron Maiden musicians though are aware of this and have always been true to their fans. I keep fond memories of their concert at Reading Festival - no matter how you look at it, Iron Maiden remains a interesting experience for any music fan ; as far as "Hair Metal" goes, they never were stupid hedonists like Mötley Crüe, or never pretended to be someone they were not like Axl Rose. Despite the logos, the t-shirts, Eddie and the stadiums... you just can't blame them for not being Slayer or The Smiths.

80s&90s Parties @ Futurum / 00h00
80s & 90s Parties at Futurum are not just frozen in time - they're stuck at the very bottom of the Top 40. Every Sunday now Futurum becomes a temple of nostalgia for whoever had questionable taste at the end of the 80s (or early 90s). Somehow, we all know those songs - Abba's Raspoutin, Midnight Oil's The Beds Are Burning, and all of Queen's crimes against humanity (I want To Break Free, The Show Must Go On...). Not surprisingly, people there dress like they're coming straight out of Weird Science or Feris Bueller's day off. Irresistible.

Dropkick Murphys @ Roxy / 20h00
"We always wanted to be that band that didn't forget where it came from and we keep it in the forefront of our minds that we're all in it together, audience and band members, as one, no one better than the other. That's the M.O. of a lot of punk bands, but I think sometimes it gets lost the minute a band has any kind of success. We never want to let it go to our heads. We know how lucky we are to be doing this. It's because of the people that listen to the band's music we have this opportunity to see the world. I don't care if we're playing to 10 people or 10,000 people, those kids that are up front singing our songs are the reason we're doing this."

Chodsko Folk @ Domažlice
Domažlice is at the center of the Chodsko ethnographic region where the traditions of folklore bagpipe music, dance, traditions and customs are preserved in a lively manner.

Antonio Vivaldi @ Križíkova fontána / 20:00

Tonight Križíkova fontána  pays tribute to the creator of hundreds of spirited, extroverted instrumental works. Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi is widely recognised as the master of the Baroque instrumental concerto, which he perfected and popularised more than any of his contemporaries. Vivaldi's kinetic rhythms, fluid melodies, bright instrumental effects, and extensions of instrumental technique make his some of the most enjoyable of Baroque music. He was highly influential among his contemporaries and successors: even as esteemed a figure as Johann Sebastian Bach adapted some of Vivaldi's music.

Free Roxy Night @ Roxy / 22:00

Bored of Cross Club's rave-party girls and tired of Drum&Bass with no drums or bass ? Mondays' free nights at Roxy are your best chance to enjoy an upbeat and lively night on a Monday in Prague. If you like Roxy but feel Friday nights are too crowded and Saturday nights only packed with tourists, this is your chance to fully enjoy what is one the the best discos in Prague.

Alanis Morissette @ Kongresove centrum Praha / 20:30

Once upon a time, Liz Phair, Courtney Love and Alanis Morrissette were under the spotlights for leading the new indie music scene. Basically, they put their diary into music, creating a simple but sometimes moving body of work that made their name. Liz is now is Mojo's "Forgotten Jewel" pages, Courtney doesn't look human anymore, and Alanis achieved super stardom after shaving her moustache. Your grand-parents love her, Avril Lavigne quotes her all the time, you get to see her posters in "Friends", and she probably gives millions to support Obama - even though she's Canadian. Without denying the strength of Jagged Little Pill's tunes, isn't it somewhat unfair that the most boring of our indie princesses is the one that was the least forgotten ?
