Gothic independent festival
The second volume of the international darkwave/gothic/EBM meeting called „Night Side" is drawing near and again it brings the great atmosphere of truly dark event in the ancient city. The first year of festival was about hanging up the black flag over Prague and calling together different kinds of fans and freaks interested in the dark art, especially music. Furthermore one of the primal motivations to realize this event was to connect people from Central and Eastern Europe. Strong thirst for this kind of underground activity showed out how many fans are looking for dark subculture in Czech region. We would like to make festival always better and that's why line-up is really atractive this time.

Critical Mass @ Rudolfunium - 15:00
A critical mass is the smallest amount of material needed to sustain a nuclear reaction. It’s also the smallest amount of cyclists needed to sustain a global cycling movement. Critical Mass is self-organized, non-commercial and non-competitive, an 'organised coincidence' occurring in cities throughout the world and it's coming back to Prague on September 21st. Automobilism has upset the flow of
life on Prague's streets. It's time to pull out its plug. Critical
Mass—a spontaneous irruption of bicycles onto the city's streets—will
restore life to the city and put things right again. It is a mass of
cyclists opening up the possibilities on streets made bland by the
stink-stuck traffic.
Provokator Staff will be
riding bicycles courtesy of Praha Bikes. Look for us- we'll be the ones
with a cigarette hanging from our lips looking longingly at the Metro
stops.

The Business (uk), Stigma (us) @ Klub 007
The mixture Of Oi & Hardcore has been simmering in a vicious stew
for quite some time & is about to reach a Boiling Point. Call it
street punk, call it hardcore, call it Oi! or whatever. No matter what,
THE BUSINESS today stands more vital than ever!
The Melvins (usa) @ Palac Akropolis
In 2006 the Melvins released (A) Senile Animal, some 22 years after
they started the band released one of the best received records of
their career. The album marked the end of a revolving door of musicians
with the very welcome annexation of Jared and Coady of Big Business.
The refreshed quartet, now featuring double drummers, graced the cover
of The Wire, received a 5/5 in Alternative Press, a 9/10 in Revolver
and Pitchfork commented, "(A) Senile Animal stands as the band's most
no-frills, accessible, and flat-out best album since Stoner Witch."
Now the band returns with "Nude With Boots" (July 8, Ipecac).
Recorded in Los Angeles earlier this year, the eleven track album
cements the resurgence of The Melvins.
