Son Caliente @ Cross Club / 20:00

Son Caliente comes from Havana, Cuba and is rooted in Afro-Cuban style. Interpreting traditional music in original and energetic arrangements the powerfull sound is crossing towards bigbeat. The core  Sibmore then 20 years long experience with concerts in clubs and festivals in Cuba as well as during several artistic collaboration around the world. Son Caliente reached Czech Republic in December 2005 for the first time and after lots of struggling, changes and transformation settled and have been living in Prague. Their life stories create their music. Son Caliente captivated local Czech/Slovak audience. In Prague, their momental home town, there are regular concerts of theirs at latin clubs and music bars.

If you haven't seen Bathory at Carlovi Vary, you must have been eagerly waiting for its release in Prague this Wednesday: this is the most expensive movie that was produced yet in Czech Republic and Slovakia. It tells the famous story of Elizabeth Bathory, a cruel countess from Romania who killed more than eighty young men and women (some say six hundreds!), to bath in their blood and retain her youth. It kinda worked actually, since she was sent to jail and died there before she could even grow old.

Nine pieces - 2 drummers 4 horns 2 guitars way too many teeth a piano and an accordion.
