The Carburetors @ Bordo / 21:00

The Carburetors have captured an endearingly earthy vibe with their new album – and they probably were not even trying that hard. 'Vodka Says ….', 'Women or Guns', 'Cotton Dust', 'Good Sized Girl', and so on, it's all as real as it is raw, as sincere as it is simple.  Although they were obviously having a good time in the studio, The Carburetor are serious about their art. This is supposed to be fun, good-time music, but there is still a rootsy depth here that most commercial country bands just never seem to hit.

Peppino D'Agostino @ Palac Akropilis / 20:30

He was Italy's Aztec Camera - a young guitar genius who had a promising career waiting for him when he was barely 18. But unlike Roddy Frame, who completely disappeared after releasing one outstanding debut album, D'Agostino achieved stardom when he moved to the United States in the 90s, becoming one of the most famous italian musicians of his times. From original soundtracks to jazz and flamenco, D'Agostino is a one of a kind virtuoso.

United Islands Of Prague @ Meet Factory / 20:00

The Whip was one of NME's darlings in mid-2007 for many good reasons : they fit in the nu-rave scene, they've got a good looking brunette in the group and they're all from Manchester. The strength of their song "Trash", though, was barely ever mentioned - and I'm not mistaken, the record was signed on french label Kitsuné rather than, say, Creation. Since their singles became less and less impressive with each new release, everyone forgot how exciting their sound was : they're the ones who could have brought electro back to the pubs.
Compared to the likes of The Teenagers or New Young Pony Club, they may lack a sprinkling of humour in several songs... but you're looking for great dance floor tunes, right ? This is where you'll find them.

Cult Of Luna @ Rock Café / 19:00

You may love Sweden for Those Dancing Days, The Hives or The Knife, but you may not know them for their very talented metal bands such as Cult Of Luna. What you can expect is technically good musicians spinning a paranoid and suffocating wave of prog-metal with sometimes much more relieving moments. Unlike their American peers who all seem to idolise the likes of Jonathan Davis, Cult Of Luna most surprisingly take their influences from Pink Floyd or Can... This alone should make them worth the look.

Lenny Kravitz @ O2 Arena

After 18 years of absence in Czech Republic, the legend is back !
The man can sing pop, soul and his eighth album is full of love, as is "It's time for a love revolution".
This new album gets closer to Lenny Kravitz' s first compositions. WE can only make the relation with the titles of the very first opus " Let love Rule ".
Kravitz took out the big guitars, which sound sometimes a bit like Jimmy Page and Led Zep, and chose to put them at a central place in the realisation. This gives a rawer and dirtier sound than what we could found on his previous albums. A sound which blows up in your face!!!

The singer shows a wish of peace in the world, on bottom of electrical guitars with some titles with positions such as "Back in Vietnam", and "I Want to go Home". There is Lenny Kravitz singer of love and Lenny Kravitz, recidivist of involved rock. Already at the time of the first war of Gulf, he recorded a resumption of "Give Peace A Chance" with Sean Lennon.
And at the time of the launching of war in Iraq, he collaborated with an Iraqi singer on a called song "We Want Peace". These songs were besides forbidden twice in the United States.
Much of that freedom will extend to his fans around the world, as Kravitz plans to tour behind It Is Time For A Love Revolution for two years after its release, so... are you gonna go his way ?

ImageBonnie Prince Billy @ Lucerna

Albums, collaborations, best of acoustics, singles of any type, appearances in the cinema or productions of young talents: the native of the county of Oldham continues in being all good blows and especially those where we do not wait for it. The most important american country rock singer of the decade does not content himself with bringing back original titles in his world but invents a whole genre and style to serve his play.
The 8 titles are treated homogeneously and achieve, by the ingenious of the implement (a suspicion of guitar picking, decelerated rhythm, and silky arrangements), a coherence and a cohesion rarely achieved through similiar musical performance. Bonnie Prince Billy is neither rock, nor blues, but he gives a deep impression of freedom, calmness and sincerity which makes him a companion of incomparable consolation.

Enon @ Palac Akropolis / 20:30

Like groups such as Olivia Tremor Control, they're interested in exploring the wide territory between pop/rock songs and noise, while employing a wealth of samples, industrial sound processing, and percussion that veers toward crockery-smashing murkiness. Not as inclined toward melodies of the 1960s and '70s, there are nonetheless often pensive, oddball pop tunes lurking in their swathe of sound.
