You know what was properly scary? Ebola. The other day I was wondering what had happened to that charming virus, so I went down to the Provokator ”Where Are They Now” archives and dug up the file. I was pleased to learn, as I'm sure you all will be, that Ebola is alive and well.
The most recent outbreak is in the DR Congo, where more than 170 people have died since April and there are still currently over 20 active cases. I was also relieved to find out that Ebola is far from being on the endangered species list, as there is still no known cure and transmission is as easy as coming into contact with the secretions of the afflicted. With its continual resurgence we may all one day be able to look forward to bleeding to death through our eyes, noses, mouths and rectums. |
