 Stewie the Stoic by Taso Dirlis The Prague Post, the Czech Republic's most widely circulated English-language weekly newspaper, is proud to announce the culmination of its First Annual Playwriting Contest.Officially launched in October 2006, the First Annual Playwriting Contest invited budding writers, theater enthusiasts and artists to submit an original 20-minute short play of any genre.
 Burn Your Bookes by Richard Byrne We received more than 100 scripts and, after a long and involved judging process, our judges' panel — Norbert Auerbach (former president of United Artists), Barbara Bray (eminent Beckett scholar and collaborator) and Steffen Silvis (Prague Post film and theater critic) — selected three finalists: Burn Your Bookes, by Richard Byrne; Old Faithful, by Ian Grody and Stewie the Stoic, by Taso Dirlis.The cash-prize winner will be announced at the final gala performance of the festival, Monday, March 19, as will the winner of the Audience Award.
